Two suspects and two innocent civilians were killed in a shootout on Thursday in Florida after an attempted armed robbery for jewelry and the following massive police chase, said local authorities. The incident began at a jewelry store in Coral Gables, located southwest of downtown Miami, according to police. At least one store employee was injured. The two suspects hijacked a UPS truck to run away while taking the driver hostage during a high speed police chase, officials said. The two suspects were killed in an exchange of gunfire with police. It’s unclear how the truck driver and the other innocent civilian, a bystander, were killed. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation.
