April 19 (Xinhua) — Qatar’s Health Ministry on Sunday announced 440 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, increasing the total infections in the Gulf state to 5,448, the official Qatar News Agency (QNA) said. “Eight people recovered and this brings the total number of recoveries to 518,” QNA said, quoting a ministry statement. Eight people have died of the virus so far while the total number of people tested for COVID-19 rose to 62,538, it added.
